Oral cavity

Cavite buccale

You will avoid many digestive problems when you start chewing food properly.

Frequent problems in the oral cavity : insufficient saliva production.

How to understand that there is a lack of saliva?
- You feel the need to drink during meals.

Consequences of insufficient saliva :

1. Saliva contains lysozyme, an antibacterial agent that prevents bacteria and parasites from progressing further into the gastrointestinal tract.

2. Saliva contains amylase, an enzyme that helps break down sugars, thereby reducing the load on the pancreas.

3. Saliva contains mucin, which helps form the bolus and prevents trauma to the lining of the esophagus.

4. Low saliva production indicates insufficient chewing of food. Large chunks of food that reach the gastrointestinal tract cannot be digested optimally, which can lead to long-term deficiencies and inflammation.

What to do ?

1. Avoid drinking water during meals. The best option is to drink a glass of lukewarm water or a digestion-stimulating herbal tea 15 minutes before the meal. Wait at least 40 minutes after eating to start drinking again. This will optimize your digestion

2. Chew slowly and carefully to reduce the load on the digestive organs. This helps prevent the formation of parasites, bacteria, inflammation and deficiencies.

How to support yourself in case of saliva production problems?

1. If you used to drink with meals, give your body a week to adjust to functioning optimally without this habit

2. Integrate oil pulling with coconut oil into your morning routine. I explained its benefits in my reel. For more information, follow the link ⬇️⬇️⬇️.
